Nicholas Allyn Peterson, 22, of Williamsport, was charged with raping and attempting to strangle a girl on Tuesday, Sept. 24, the Williamsport Bureau of Police detailed in the affidavit of probable cause.
Four girls, including the victim, met up with Peterson at a Sheetz in Williamsport on Tuesday, July 16, the victim told the police according to the affidavit. Peterson then purchased several alcoholic beverages before taking them to his home.
While in Peterson's residence, he gave the girl at least three alcoholic beverages, she back drunk, and asked to leave before passing out, police wrote. Later, the girl woke up on a bed without any clothing on while Peterson was strangling her, according to the affidavit. She was able to get Peterson off of her but suffered vaginal bleeding, bruising, and facial injuries during the attack.
The girl went to Geisinger Hospital for a rape kit, police explained.
Peterson was charged with the following according to the police and confirmed by court documents:
- Felony Rape.
- Felony Sexual Assault.
- Felony Aggravated Indecent Assault (two counts).
- Felony Strangulation.
- Misdemeanor Indecent Assault- Without Consent Of Other.
- Misdemeanor Indecent Assault Person Unconscious.
Misdemeanor Selling or Furnishing Liquor to Minors (four counts).
He has been held in Lycoming County Prison after being denied bail, according to his court docket. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Christian David Frey at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
